Dark Times Are Approaching...



Hogwarts School Of Witchcraft and Wizardry has been opened for thousands of years. The time of Lord Voldemort is passed, and even the great Harry Potter is gone.
It is a new time at Hogwarts; a time of great deception and darkness, and it begins when two children arrive at Hogwarts: brother and sister. They are pureblood twins, and they seem to have more secrets than anyone in the castle.
Even the headmistress seems to have her mysteries, but all must be revealed in order for the young wizards and witches of Hogwarts to survive the darkness that is coming...

A monster is approching. One sent by Lord Voldemort to come forward, if anything shall happen to himself.
The monster has waited one hundred years since the beginning of Voldemort to reveal itself, and its thirst for blood may be even greater than Voldemort's.

In these dark times, the children of Hogwarts must train harder to learn there magic, listen harder for signs of trouble, and discover magic that has been stored in the great castle since the beginning of its excistance...

RULES



Hogwart's Magic is a site based off of the Harry Potter books by J.K. Rowling. We do not take any credit for the ideas of Harry Potter. The plot is original, by the creator.
This is a site to have fun and roleplay characters. If you follow the rules, we can do both those things.

Our forum has limits on certain things. Players who repeatedly break these rules will be warned and then banned if they insist on making trouble. Amount/type of discipline will vary depending on the severity of the offence, but you will always be warned first, and be expected to listen thereafter.

What You Can't Do:


SPAM: stupid and pointless messages. An example of SPAM would be replying "Hi I’m new" to someone's message, when everyone was talking about Peepers. It has absolutely nothing to do with the topic.

Double-Posting: posting twice {or more} in a row on any thread. If you need to add on, just edit your first post.

Advertising: The only places you may advertise another forum RPG are on the Ad Board or your signature, or A LITTLE on the C-box. DO NOT PM people with unsolicited ads for other sites {telling a few close friends is fine}. If you, the player, get an unsolicited ad in your inbox from anyone you don't know well, please post it in on the staff reports board or PM staff. Your experience here should be spam-free!

Nagging Staff: Do not harass staff members to check your bios, or to be in a certain house or be on the
Quidditch
team. The only time you may PM staff about a bio is if it has been there more than 48 hours without a response to a bio, or if there is a bio. If you have edited a bio an added more characters, let the staff know.

Bios: All bios you submit here MUST be written by yourself.

Questions about what's allowed in a character may be posted on our Rules board.

Inappropriate Material: NO swear words, obscene pictures, or roleplaying graphics{sex/mating} between your characters. This site is rated PG.

Respect the Staff: A staff member tells you to do/not do something, you may not argue. Any threat or persistent arguments against a staff member results in a BAN. Snarky responses to a mod's orders count as arguing; give us a hard time and you will not be here long. If you feel mistreated by staff, please PM an admin.

Plagiarism:

This means stealing somebody else's writing, whole or in part, and reposting it as yours. Writing includes ANYTHING--OOC or IC, prose/poetry, articles, ads, opinion pieces, OR applications. It is lying, theft, and against the law. You may NEVER post any writing or art here that is not your own without both permission AND full credit given, and this goes for posting stuff from here on another game too{unless you wrote it yourself}. Both full credit AND permission are required. If we find that you have plagiarised during your time here, you will be permanently banned. This is your only warning. DON'T PLAGIARISE.


Roleplaying Rules:

-No autoing (Controlling another person's character--including autoing damage on them)
-No flaming (Fighting in OOC)
-NO Godmoding: Making your character invincible or "above reality."

Names:

You can name your person virtually anything.

No:

*Vulgar/racist words
*Copying other's names
*Copying JKR's names

Duplicate Names:

No name, may be used more than once in the whole game. Please make up your own original names. It's not that hard.

Characters

-You can have as many characters as you can handle.
-They cannot have special powers or be the "One to save us all" unless stated by an Admin.
-When you create a characteer above first year, RP as if that person has been at Hogwarts School for the entire time (ex. A second year-you can recall moments from your first year even if you didn't RP that character then).
-NO character may be related to or otherwise connected to any character from the books. This game takes place after the canon series and any characters from them have been forgotten. THIS GAME IS "AU"!

The BOLD lettering is the code for the Bios.
